Saunalux-Solar | Sauna fun with solar power
Sauna cabin assisted by solar power helps save energy costs
Solar power is now being used successfully in many applications: whether for assisting room heating, water heating or electricity generation, the clean energy provided by the sun can be used in almost every area of the household. The combination of solar power with the domestic sauna however is quite new.
The benefits of such a power supply are clear to see: with 1.6 million saunas in Germany alone, the potential energy saving with the assistance of solar power is about 2.9 billion kilowatt hours per year! This corresponds to energy cost savings of around €500 million. And of course such savings would also make themselves felt to your purse, and when it comes to environmental protection. The potential reduction in CO 2 emissions of 1.5 million tonnes per year speaks for itself.
With the Varioline cabin, the sauna specialist Saunalux has developed a particularly flexible sauna design which provides a wide range of combination possibilities specially for individualists. From the equipment to the interior design and on to many convenient extras, the sauna can be designed to meet all your individual requirements.
The Varioline also offers for the first time the facility of using solar power to assist in heating the sauna, and at the same time using the heat produced as free room heating. The full-width double front doors for example can be left open in order to heat the bathroom. The heated storage facility for towels or clothing is also very practical.
All these benefits and the already mentioned flexibility of the Varioline can of course also be fully used with solar technology. And if there is not enough sun available, the integrated sauna oven can be used as additional heating, so that even high temperatures can be reached.
The use of the novel solar sauna system is particularly efficient if a new solar-assisted heating system is to be installed, although the solar sauna can also be integrated into the circuit of an existing system.
